Setting up the Emergency Report shortcut on your phone

Setting up the Emergency Report shortcut on your phone

VR Portal includes an Emergency Report feature that displays a list of everyone who is registered as on-site and is used for roll calls and marking people off as accounted for during emergencies. For quick access to this report in an emergency, you can create a shortcut on your smartphone’s home screen, which will appear as an app icon.

Below are the instructions for setting up this shortcut on both iPhone and Android devices.

iPhone instructions

1. Open the Safari internet browser.

2. Navigate to https://p.visitorrego.com/.

3. Tap
the Share button (the share button) on the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.

4. In the share menu that appears, scroll down until you see Add to Home Screen then tap on it.

5. On the next screen, tap on the Add button. The website will appear as an app on your home screen.

6. Tap the new app on your home screen and it will open the website in its own navigation window.

Android instructions

1. Open the Chrome internet browser.

3. Tap the Menu button and tap Add to home screen.

4. You’ll be able to enter a name for the shortcut and then Chrome will add it to your home screen.

5. Now just tap the new app on your home screen, and it will open the website in its own navigation window.

To ensure quick access to the Emergency Report during an emergency, you can save your username and password in your smartphone’s browser. Typically, the browser will prompt you to save your credentials the first time you log in. This allows for faster login and immediate access to critical information when it is needed most.
