Signing in using the Mobile Pass function

Signing in using the Mobile Pass function

Mobile Pass is a function that allows visitors to sign in from their own smartphone device rather than at a physical VisitorRego unit.
A unique QR code is printed and displayed at your entrance or sign-in point. Visitors can then scan the QR code using their smartphone’s QR scanner or camera to be taken to a web page where they can enter their details and register.

Alert
Mobile Pass is a function that needs to be setup first before it can be used. Contact the VisitorRego support team to have this function setup.
If your site already has Mobile Pass setup and you'd like to print out the unique QR code for your site, please find instructions here.

To use the Mobile Pass function:

1. The visitor would use their smartphone’s QR scanner or camera to scan the Mobile Pass QR code displayed at the sign-in point. They simply need to aim their device at the QR code and hold it steady for a moment until it is recognised.

2. Scanning the QR code will automatically open the Mobile Pass website, where the visitor can enter their details and select who they are here to meet.

Alert
When entering your details, you must include your first and last names in the Name field and select the person you are here to meet in the Meeting With field. These two fields are mandatory. Depending on the site's Mobile Pass configuration, other fields may also be mandatory. If a field requires completion, a red message will appear beneath it, prompting you to fill in the necessary details before you can proceed to register.

3. The visitor would tap on the Register button, which will take them to the Health & Safety information.

4. The visitor would read through the Health & Safety information. If the information is divided into slides, they can swipe left to view the next slide, or if it's one continuous page, they can scroll down to read all of the information.

5. Once all Health & Safety information has been viewed, the visitor would tap the Accept button.

6. The visitor will be registered and an email notification sent to the staff member the visitor met with.

7. A sign out page will appear. To sign out, the visitor would tap on the ‘Sign Out’ button.

Alert
If a visitor has closed the web browser or tab, they can still sign out by re-scanning the Mobile Pass QR code. However, this will not work if they were using private browsing mode, as the system will not recognise their previous sign-in, and they will be treated as a new sign-in instead.
