Customising the On-Screen Keyboard (OSK)
VisitorRego allows you to change the appearance and layout of the on-screen keyboard (OSK) to better suit your branding, accessibility needs, or hardware setup. These customisation options also apply to other buttons and elements throughout the Self-Registration process, allowing you to tailor the interface to your brand’s look while keeping it easy to use for all visitors.
Accessing OSK Customisation Settings
From VisitorRego's Admin modeselect Options > Self Registration tab, then select the OSK Customise button.

This will open the OSK Setup window, where you can adjust various settings.
Customisation Settings Overview
Below, you’ll find an overview of the settings available in the OSK Setup window.
Setting Name | Description |
Font | The font used for the keyboard keys, buttons, Self-Registration fields, and staff names in the 'Meeting With' dropdown. |
Font Size | The size of the font used for the keyboard keys and staff names in the 'Meeting With' dropdown. |
Fore Color | The color of the font used for the keyboard keys and buttons. |
Back Color | The background color for the keyboard keys and buttons. |
Key Height | The height of the keyboard keys. |
Key Width | The width of the keyboard keys. |
Corner Radius | The roundness of the corners on the
keyboard keys. Higher values result in rounder corners, while lower
values result in sharper edges. |
Portrait Orientation | When enabled, this option condenses the keyboard layout to fit better in portrait orientation. |
Keyboard Left Margin | Adjusts the space between the left edge of the screen and the keyboard. This setting takes effect when the Portrait Orientation option is enabled. |
Reset To Defaults | You can click the Restore to Defaults button at any time to revert all customisation settings to their original defaults. |
To make changes, use the available controls to adjust the settings as desired. Once done, close the window, and the changes will be automatically saved. The next time you open Self Registration mode, the changes will be in effect.

Setting the height and width values of the keyboard keys too high can cause the keyboard to exceed the screen limits, resulting in parts of the keyboard being cut off.

Setting the fore color to white can cause visibility issues, especially when hovering over the keyboard keys or buttons. The background color changes to yellow on hover, making the white text very hard to see.
