Low Label Email Notification

Low Label Email Notification

VisitorRego has the ability to send an email notification that the labels in your printer are running low.

This is particularly useful if your VisitorRego unit is in an unattended area, or if you have a VisitorRego Kiosk where the label printer is safely enclosed behind a locked door.

To utilise this function, you will need to have email notifications set up.

Setting up low label email notifications

From VisitorRego's Admin mode, choose Options> System Setup> General tab, then by expanding the Printers section.

You can specify the number of labels per roll by entering the value into the Labels Per Roll field.
If you need help with knowing how many labels are on the roll that your label printer uses, please contact VisitorRego support.

Check the
Low Label Alert checkbox and specify at what point in the countdown the notification is sent into the Low Label Threshold field.
When the labels left on the roll reach this number the email notification is sent.

We recommend between 5 -10 depending on how busy your reception is and how quickly people are able to respond and change the label roll.

Enter the staff member's name you want the notification to be sent to into the Staff To Notify field as they appear in the Staff list. You can enter multiple names to notify by separating each name with a semicolon (e.g. Jenny Lewis; Richard Peterson).

Close out of the System Setup window
to hold any changes.

Now, once the label count goes below the low label threshold, the staff member listed will get a notification that the labels are low.

It's a good idea to set this up at the same time you change a label roll and reset the label count.
