How to Connect/Re-connect Scanner

VisitorRego can automatically detect which COM port a scanner is assigned to.

You can see the COM port assigned in Devices & Printers or in Device Manager.

To reconnect the scanner try the following:

·         Unplug scanner, then reconnect.

·         Restart Windows.

If you’ve done this, and you still can’t see a COM port assigned, then the scanner is not configured to run in serial emulation mode. Contact VisitorRego support to obtain the correct configuration barcodes needed to configure your scanner.
