Signing in using the Contactless Sign-In function

Signing in using the Contactless Sign-In function

Contactless Sign-In allows visitors to sign in using their own smartphone instead of interacting with the VisitorRego unit’s touchscreen. A unique QR code is displayed on the unit’s welcome screen, which visitors can scan using their smartphone’s QR scanner or camera to open a web page where they can enter their details and register. After signing in, a QR code is generated on their phone, which they can scan at the unit to sign out.

Alert
Contactless Sign-In is a function that needs to be setup first before it can be used. Contact the VisitorRego support team to have this function setup.

To use the Contactless Sign-In function:

1. The visitor would use their smartphone’s QR scanner or camera to scan the Contactless Sign-In QR code that is displayed on the VisitorRego unit's welcome screen. They simply need to aim their device at the QR code and hold it steady for a moment until it is recognised.

2. Scanning the QR code will automatically open the Contactless Sign-In web page, where the visitor can enter their details and select who they are here to meet.

Alert
When entering your details, you must include your first and last names in the Name field and select the person you are here to meet in the Meeting With field. These two fields are mandatory. Depending on the site's Mobile Pass configuration, other fields may also be mandatory. If a field requires completion, a red message will appear beneath it, prompting you to fill in the necessary details before you can proceed to register.

3. The visitor would tap on the Register button, which will take them to the Health & Safety information.

4. The visitor would read through the Health & Safety information. If the information is divided into slides, they can swipe left to view the next slide, or if it's one continuous page, they can scroll down to read all of the information.

5. Once all Health & Safety information has been viewed, the visitor would tap the Accept button.

6. The visitor will be registered and an email notification sent to the staff member the visitor met with.

7. Upon completing the sign-in process, a sign-out QR code will appear on the visitor's smartphone screen. To sign out, the visitor scans this code using the VisitorRego unit's scanner.
