VisitorRego has the ability to print labels directly to a specific printer. The function allows for a card printer to be used rather than the paper label printer that is normally used.
Printing labels on a card printer provides a much more durable label that can then be setup as a reusable personal ID for contractors (or any person that requires extended access) to make the registering quick and simple.
The card printer can be set in VisitorRego's Admin mode. Choose Options> System Setup> General tab, then expand the ID section.

From the Card Printer drop-down field, select
the printer to be used. The printers that appear in this drop down box
are only those printers installed on the unit.
To turn on the function to print an ID card, check the box labeled Card Printer Attached. This adds a button to Register screen, labeled ID. It also adds a date drop-down field Expire ID on. This is the date the ID will expire i.e. it won't register the person if used after this date.
Close out of the System Setup window to hold the changes.
To issue an ID card, enter the persons details on the Register screen, then set the date you want the ID card to expire using the Expire ID on date field. Press the ID button to print the ID Card.
